Today I visited the NRCD (National Resource Centre for Dance) at the University of Guildford.
I had the pleasure of taking an item for donation, tinged with the sadness of the loss of a friend.
The donated item was a large, bronze ‘medallion’ which belonged to Robert Lister. I have written about Rob before, so if you check back in this blog you can see the full story.
Rob was a pupil at the Rose Bruford College and he learned mime from ‘Bru’ herself. After Miss Mawer died, Robert was one of the winners of the Irene Mawer Memorial Mime competition.
Sadly, Robert died a year ago and it was one of his final wishes that the medallion be donated to the archive centre and I was very happy to take it there today.
