The aim of this website is to ensure that Irene Mawer is recognised for her services to the world of mime, drama, theatre, public speaking, speech therapy and all the associated arts of the theatre, voice, and movement.
Miss Mawer and her friend Ruby Ginner ran the Ginner-Mawer School of Dance and Drama from 1916 until 1954, after which time Irene taught at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama.
Aspects covered on this site will include any and all of Miss Mawer’s passions plus a few of my own.
