Reminder – 110
Hi Everyone – just a quick reminder that next year will be the 110th anniversary of the founding of the Ginner-Mawer School of Dance and Drama.
The first classes were held in rooms at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Miss Fogerty’s Central School was also there. Both Schools were asked to leave so that the rooms could be used as part of the war effort. Ginner-Mawer moved quickly, but Miss Fogerty couldn’t find anywhere. In the end, it didn’t matter, as the war order was rescinded and Miss Fogerty didn’t need to move after all.
If you are working on your own plans to celebrate this historic occasion, please feel free to update us all in the comments section. Let us know what you have in mind!
I still haven’t thought of how I will commemorate the occasion, myself. However, someone has just suggested I make a YouTube video, which I very well may do!
