The Irresistible Theatre

The attached photo shows newspaper cuttings, which Irene Mawer had carefully preserved in her book of press cuttings. There are two clippings, the first is entitled The Vagabond King and I can not find any connection to Irene Mawer in it. This is a complete mystery to me – if you can shed any light on it, please let me know.

The second article discusses the unionisation (organisation and co-operation) first of the London theatres, and then those in the provinces. It goes on to list theatrical organisations centred in London, among them is the Institute of Mime.
