Classical Greek Dance Association 2024

Hello to everyone who is checking in from the CGD link.

Thank you for coming to see the Irene Mawer page. I had a fabulous time at the Festival Finals and it was wonderful to finally see live Classical Greek Dancing.  I was entranced for the whole day.

The only other time I have seen anyone dancing Greek was at a single class over 40 years ago, so that doesn’t really count!

At the moment I am learning about dancing to words (without music) – is that what you call Choric dance? I have loads of questions about it, so if you are up for a chat (email, phone, Whatapp, Messenger), please let me know!

I was also thrilled to see that the Irene Mawer award for drama was presented at the end of the day. If you have ever won the trophy, or if you are interested in the drama side of Greek Dance, I would really like to chat, so please do get in touch. Many thanks. (If you are the current winners, well done, and I would be thrilled to see a photo of you and the trophy, please.)

Please ‘comment and share’ so that more people can know about Miss Mawer. Thank you.
